Session & Recording Work
I work quickly and instinctively in studio environments, contributing violin and fiddle parts by ear and in real time. I generate musical ideas fast, adapt immediately to direction, and deliver parts that sit naturally in the track — without the need for charts or lengthy explanation.
Live Performance
I slot seamlessly into existing bands and line-ups, listening first and responding musically in the moment. Comfortable across most styles and settings, I focus on supporting the song and the ensemble rather than overplaying or forcing ideas.
Creative input & musical Problem solving
Beyond performance, I regularly help shape arrangements, textures, and counter-melodies on the fly. Producers and artists often use me as a creative sounding board in the room — someone who can interpret ideas quickly and turn them into musical results.
ABOUT
I’m a professional UK-based violinist and fiddle player with a background in classical training and a career built largely on ear-led musicianship, stylistic awareness, and adaptability.
While many violinists rely heavily on written parts and predefined arrangements, my strength lies in listening, reacting, and shaping parts instinctively. I can step into unfamiliar musical contexts, feel the style quickly, and contribute parts that sound intentional, musical, and fully integrated.
This approach has made me particularly valuable in studio sessions, collaborative projects, and live performance environments where time is limited and flexibility is essential.
Whether recording, touring, or performing live, my focus is always the same: serve the music, reduce friction, and help projects reach their full potential efficiently.
My work has included recording sessions, touring productions, and large-scale live performance environments, alongside collaborative studio projects where speed, musical judgement, and adaptability are essential. I’m used to working in professional settings where time is limited, expectations are high, and musical decisions need to be made quickly and confidently.
I also perform and record internationally as a founding member of The Trawlermen, alongside session and collaborative work.
